A thaumatrope is an optical toy that allows your brain and eyes to see two images at the same time!
Materials
You will need:
paper
a straw or pencil
sticky tape
colouring pens
How to create a cartoon
Fold the piece of paper in half
Draw a picture on each side of the paper
Fold your paper around the straw or pencil
Use sticky tape to attach your paper to the straw or pencil
Place the straw or pencil between the palms of your hands and roll it backwards and forwards
